2015 GMCA Strategic Management Consulting Conference

feature-interview (1)

The GMCA Strategic Management Consulting Conference is back! This year, the GMCA is hosting the annual conference from Thursday May 7-Friday May 15 (Workshops: May 7-8 and Case Competition: May 9-15). Even if you’ve attended this conference before, this year promises to be full of new workshops, exciting networking opportunities and, as always, the case competition with management consulting judges from top firms.

Note: Tickets this year for the case competition and networking night are all-inclusive so that attendees do not have to purchase more than one ticket. Therefore, if you are attending either the case competition or have been invited to the networking night, you do NOT need to purchase a workshop ticket as access is included in your case competition / networking ticket price.

Workshops:

Workshop tickets will be sold until May 4th, 11:59pm. This ticket is for all individuals who would like to learn more about consulting, participate in a less-formal networking night and get a sense for what it takes to get into consulting without participating in the case competition. You will get insider information from management consultants from top firms and get opportunities to network. Space is limited. Get your ticket here today!

Case competition:

Case Competition application deadline is April 20th, 11:59 pm. The case competition is a great opportunity to get noticed and make connections with consulting industry professionals. Space is limited, so make sure to apply by the deadline by submitting resumes for each team member and completed application form: GMCA Team Application. If your team is selected for case competition, a special link to purchase case invite-only competition tickets will be sent out to each individual on the team. The tickets cost $65 per person and gives you access to coaching, the case competition, workshops and an exclusive networking event on May 15.  Teams will be notified if they’re accepted by April 24. If you’re applying for case competition, please wait to hear from us before purchasing a workshop ticket as workshop access is included in the case comp ticket price.

NOTE: This year the competition will have teams of 5. As before, only one professional / MBA / Undergrad is allowed per team. Four team mates must be graduate students or post docs.

Competition Networking Night

Individuals who are not accepted to the case competition will have the opportunity to apply to attend the networking portion of the competition day. These spaces are also limited and subject to a resume screen. If you are accepted to attend the networking night, your invite-only ticket will include access to the workshops, so do not buy a workshop ticket until you hear if you’ve been invited to the networking night.

This conference will take place on the U of T St. George campus.
