McKinsey & Co. 2016 Summer Internship Info Session

McKinsey & Company will be hosting a small event for MSc and PhD students interested in learning about 2016 Summer Internship opportunities. The session will be on Friday, November 27^th at 4pm in our Toronto office.

The internship program is the best opportunity to explore management consulting at McKinsey. The typical duration and timing is 10–12 weeks in the summer.  Interns directly work on a client engagement as a member of a McKinsey team over this duration. This time frame will allow you to make an informed decision in regards to pursuing management consulting in the long term.

McKinsey colleagues will be on hand to describe the application process, share their own experiences, and answer questions.

UofT GMCA Beginner Case Competition

New to Case Competitions ? Thinking about prepping for Management Consulting interviews? Then the GMCA’s Beginner Case Competition is for you.The week-long competition is strictly for beginners with no prior consulting or case competition experience. See rules and guidelines below.

SCHEDULE:

NOV 2nd – 6th, 2015

Monday evening: Introduction to case competition and case release at noon.

Tuesday evening: Coaches Corner (present your work thus far and receive feedback)

Friday evening: Final Rounds

RULES & GUIDELINES

The Beginner Case Competition is strictly for beginners. To be eligible to compete, you cannot have competed in case competitions before.

Teams must include 4 members,only one of which can be a non-graduate or post-doc (i.e. undergrad or professional). If you cannot find a team, and would like to participate, you can apply as a group of 2 or 3 or alone and email gmca.uoft@gmail.com and we can assemble a team for you.

All team members must submit a ONE PAGE consulting style resume and answer this questionnaire: GMCA-2015-BeginnerCaseComp-ApplicationForm

The deadline to apply is Thursday October 29th, 6:00 pm EST

Team list will be released on Sunday November 1st.

UofT GMCA Alumni Networking Night Fall 2015

GMCA is hosting a networking evening on Thursday October 29th at 6:30 PM with some of the GMCA alumni that have moved into consulting careers. Come out to network with people who have been in your shoes to gain insight on moving into this field. ( Location TBD )
