2015 GMCA Professional Networking Night

Recruiting season for many management consulting firms has now begun!

Come network with consultants from top consulting firms such as McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Deloitte, ZS Associates and others on August 21, 2015.

 

Email applications to gmca.uoft@gmail.com with subject “GMCA Professional Networking Night 2015” and attach a PDF document containing the following:

1. One-page resume

2. Answer to the following: “What do you hope to gain from attending the GMCA professional networking event?” (100 words max)

3. Expected year of graduation

4. List of GMCA events attended (if any)

 

Space is limited and selection is based on your application package. The application deadline is August 7, 2015 4:00 PM. For all applicants, there will be a mandatory practice networking night on August 13, 2015. Selected candidates will be contacted with registration details by August 18, 2015. Ticket prices are $35 payable online prior to the event.

Important: August 7th 4:00 pm is the absolute deadline to send in their applications. Late submissions will NOT be considered. There will not be any extension.

PCIS: Practice Case Interview Series 2015

Interested in learning about the case interview process? Looking for partners to practise cases with? Then the PCIS is for you. Beginner? No problem! Interviews around the corner? Congratulations! The PCIS has something for everyone, whether you are just starting out or need a last minute push before this year’s recruiting season. Come out and learn about each firm’s case interview process from a variety of knowledgeable consultants and get your interview prep on track. Series runs from July 7th to July 17th (inclusive).

Description

Practice Case Interview Series (PCIS) is a comprehensive course that offers lectures on every aspect of the consulting interview process including case and behavioural interviews. Consultants from major firms and successful candidates who have recently gone through the interview process will be present to give lectures and answer questions about their specific firms. There will be a 45-60 minute lecture with an interactive sample case and a Q & A period with the presenter. A casebook will be given out to the registered members to allow them to practice cases with other attendees after the lectures.

In addition to the lectures, this year we are hosting a resume clinic and cover letter workshop on the second day of the event to help applicants prepare concise and clear resumes and cover letters. This session is led by experienced career and placement professionals in investment banking and finance.
